Test automation is evolving, and Generative AI (GenAI) is becoming an important enabler of that evolution. While automation remains the core focus, GenAI is changing how tests are designed, prepared, implemented, and reported, making automation more accessible, more scalable, and more effective for a broader range of testers.

In this full-day tutorial, participants will explore how GenAI can be integrated across the test automation lifecycle, from test design and test data generation to test scripting and test reporting. Through live demonstrations and guided exercises, the session shows how GenAI can accelerate automation activities, improve test coverage, and reduce repetitive effort.

The tutorial covers both API and web test automation, using practical examples with different tools and frameworks. Rather than focusing on deep, tool-specific training, the emphasis is on understanding GenAI integration patterns and how they can be applied to existing automation frameworks and workflows.

While the primary focus is on test automation, the tutorial is also relevant for manual testers who contribute to test design, test data preparation, and result analysis, and who want to understand how GenAI can support and accelerate the move toward more effective automation.

This session is ideal for QA professionals looking for a practical and realistic view of how AI-based tools and GenAI can enhance test automation today, without losing control of quality, accountability, or responsibility.
